Ramkrishna Hari
The present era has become very dynamic and mechanical. Emotions, rituals, meetings, communication have decreased. There has been a gap between individuals, between castes, and between societies. The feeling of affection has disappeared in society and a kind of dryness has come. Harmony, understanding of others has decreased. Compassion has been lost due to the lust for material happiness. Patience has disappeared in the pursuit of instant success. There is no longer a mindset to handle problems effectively. Due to this, the number of suicides has increased.Addiction has increased. To get out of this, it is necessary for the society to be cultured, restrained, mentally, and physically capable. Also, to not lose the balance of the mind in any situation, to keep the mind stable in every situation, to keep the conscience awake. To be able to take appropriate decisions. For this, it is necessary to have a connection with spirituality.
In the past, Haripath and Bhajans used to be held in temples in the evening. Everyone used to come together in the sattvic atmosphere of the temple. They would discuss and talk about happiness and sorrow, due to which they would forget their sorrows. They would find solutions to problems, help each other. Due to this, the society used to be satisfied and stable. Life would get new hope again. But now, as Haripath and Bhajans in temples are decreasing, the problems are increasing. For this, it will have to be started again. It will have to start with the children. If the children are well-educated, the values they have will be useful to them throughout their lives and they will become capable citizens and make a strong India. Some organizations organize camps during holidays. But these camps are not for the whole year, they are for periods like 15 days, a month, two months. Therefore, their impact is not as desired.
Considering all these issues, the idea came up to provide education of the Warkari community along with school education. The children would study the Warkari community throughout the year and also study at school.
"Volunteers Association for Rational Knowledge And Research Institute" VARKARI, run by Mauli Kripankit Appaji Maharaj Gurukul Varkari Jnanpith, Shri Kshetra Kurha (Bahiram), Tal. Chandur Bazar, Dist. Amravati", a Gurukul residential school was created under the organization. The organization is located at Kurha (Bahiram). In Amravati district, Chandur Bazar taluka is located 12 km from Parthwada on Kharpi Karajgaon Shirajgaon Road. Also, Chandur Bazar is located 20 km from Parthwada on Kondwardha Karajgaon Road.
Children are admitted to the village school in the fifth grade. They are admitted to the Gurukul residential school only when their schooling is in progress from the fifth to the tenth grade. The children will be in the residential school of the organization during other times apart from the school hours.
In the residential school of the organization, children are taught hymns, Gita, Haripath, Abhang, Gatha, Saint Charitriya, Saint Vangdamaya etc. Also, Sanskrit, classical methods of playing mridung, veena, taal, and pavli are taught in the Warkari community. All-round development is achieved through various studies/programs such as yoga, physical exercise, outdoor and intellectual games, computer education, children's outings, friendship gatherings, parent gatherings, personality development. That is, school education along with the education of the Warkari community. Both school education and education of the Warkari community will continue for six years, from class 5 to 10. Thus, the children will become well-educated, competent citizens.
The organization has a three-story well-furnished building. On the ground floor there is an office, an Annapurna house, and a dining room. The children are taught the Warkari sect in a well-furnished auditorium on the first floor. The children's residence is on the second and third floors. Ten children are admitted to the fifth grade every year. In six years, a total of sixty children will be in the residential school. All education is free. All expenses are borne by the organization.
Through this project, the legacy of Wari, the spiritual tradition of Maharashtra, will be passed on to the next generation, and the devotional tradition of the Warkari sect will not be limited to Wari for the youth, but will become their way of life.
